Google goes a step further in that strange strategy clear differentiators between their products and services, now launching ARC Welder, a useful and great tool that makes it possible to use Android apps on Chrome OS and other platforms outside the company, such as Windows, Linux and even Mac.

This is a great move by Google, because with the release of App Runtime project for Chrome (ARC) to the developers the door opens for virtually any application can be ported to any operating system that supports web browser Chrome.

According to Ars Technica reports ARC access was limited for some months only a few select members of the development community, but now with the integration of ARC Welder tool, you can package any app for Android run smoothly in Chrome OS, Windows, Mac and Linux.

ARC Welder itself is a Chrome application that allows you to convert and adapt the .APK file from any Android app to be supported on other platforms. This represents a radical shift in the dynamics, any Chrombebook will almost automatically entire catalog of Google Play at your disposal, and you will not need to search for Twitter Firefox extensions, etc. You simply download the official Android apk and run it from Chrome.

This act seems a response to announcements of Microsoft Windows 10 where the company bet on an integrated system in all its variables will be interesting to see if Google manages to win something in this field.
